Dharma Talk and meditation in Ft. Pierce

  • Sep 28, 2014 · 3:30 PM

The Three Jewels are the Buddha; as an example of a truly sane person, the Dharma; (Buddha's teachings) as a way to sanity, and the Sangha; those of us who are working towards that goal together. Sanity is the basis for happiness, peace of mind and compassion.

The Sunday event consists of an informal dharma talk and discussion on various aspects of Buddhism, a period of quiet meditation, and a chance to socialize afterward. Suggested donation is $4.

Dharma talk: 3:30-4:30

Meditation 4:30-5:00

Socializing: (5:00 on) Some people bring cooked foods, but cold-cuts, snacks, etc. are fine. Alcohol is permitted.

It would be good to RSVP if you think you are probably coming. It's not a commitment. Many people don't RSVP. Our group is typically 7-10.

    Hello Jim,

I just got back from the meeting today in Ft. Pierce. Thank you for sharing your personal insights on the practice of Buddhism in this reality.

I also forgot to leave my contribution when I left. I will do it next time. It was a pleasure to gain a broader understanding of how to work through conflict with meditation and the Buddhist practice.
