The First Ever BWW Songwriting Workshop

Join us for our first ever songwriting workshop on November 21 at 6:30 at YWP headquarters at 12 North Street. It'll work in a similar way to our traditional workshops: two songwriters will upload their music to the "Files" section one week before the meeting. Songwriters will post at least the sheet music/lyrics/tablature of up to two songs. If possible, songwriters will also provide an .mp3 recording of each song.

At the meeting, the songwriter will perform the piece (if possible, since not all music is based on performance) and participants will listen to the piece and respond. Fellow musicians may want to bring their instruments and add to the song, suggest different chords or timing or lyrics--whatever may be helpful to the songwriter.

This is something new for the BWW, but with so many musicians among us, it makes sense to try this out. Musicians and non-musicians are invited to participate.
