What is your unique proposition? What makes you special in your industry?

There are many networking organizations that are out there in the current Calgary Market. Most follow a very structured model that does not allow the attendee to really share about who they are and what they have. We encourage true and natural networking. We have no limits on who can attend. We know that those who are confident of their value are not threatened by competitors in the same industry. Our networking is superior and our value added "knowledge" component makes us entirely unique in this market. We have developed a core group of mentors in strategy, marketing, tax advisement, sales training, and much more. CBN- Our ideal client looks just like you. Business Owners, Corporate Executives, Entrepreneurs, Sales People, Seasoned Networkers and brand new participants all gain from interaction with our groups. We love to help people make strategic connections and build lasting business relationships that are profitable. We assist small business owners in gaining the mentorship that they need to get to the next level and we enjoy encouraging alliances between larger enterprizes that help them to make the strategic connections necessary to increase their overall productivity. Loyal2U - Business Owners that are overwhelmed by social media are our ideal client. Those who just went to a trade show and who have not got a clear follow up method. Anyone who does not regularly get new business using LinkedIn. Any Business who is trying to get noticed online and not gaining traction.

What is it that you like to get out of your networking experiences?

Whether I am working for CBN or Loyal2U I always enjoy making new friends but I really love having long term business connections. We are loyal to those who do business with us. I am always thrilled when I can connect someone to their ideal client or make that important connection that changes someone's life or business.

How do you personally develop business relationships?

I attend networking events. I meet people for coffee. I send cards and emails. I like to bless people with gifts. I use social media and personalized emails with pictures of myself and my team to brand myself and my companies into the minds of our friends and associates. All of these things are work, but real friendship is work at any level, and it is a work that is worth the effort and rewarding over time.

We use to go to other networking organizations. We found the meetings to be too structured to get any real networking done. Also there were all these rules about not allowing people from the same industry, you had to pay a dollar if you did not give a referral, and they wanted everyone there every week. The CBN is more free in their program. There is time for real communication and relationship building. We would get 3 appointments right from the meeting at just about every event for our marketing business. They were interested in training us on how to network better. The Calgary Business Network has brought us more new business than any other networking organization in the city.
