DATE Confirmed - everyone on their own for tickets. Let others know what you book, so they can find a spot near you if possible. I don't know the theatre, but I suggest the $35 tickets in the Centre (row T) or if you want to pay more, shoot for the $60 tickets in Row C, if they're free. You can pay up to $125 for top-priced tickets. I will not be attending this one, so trust you folks can make arrangements to find each other either at your seats. Hope it's a nice night, so you can enjoy a nice walk along the river.
Opera in the Village
Calgary’s East Village RiverWalk™ Plaza will once again be bursting with music and mirth as Canada’s only outdoor summer opera festival returns for the third annual Opera in the Village!
The centerpiece of this year’s Opera in the Village is Gilbert & Sullivan’s comedic opera, The Mikado. There will also be family friendly matinee performances of The Scorpions’ Sting. Both will be performed in our 900-seat open-air tent.
The festival takes place August 13-22 in Calgary’s East Village RiverWalk™ Plaza. It’s ten days filled with beautiful music, and a host of other fun-filled activities and surprises. Opera in the Village is a great introduction to the opera experience.
