**********************************

Presenter:  Fuming Shih   20-30 min

The project that will be presented is called "SaveFace" which crawls all your facebook data (not including images) and save them as RDF in a triple store and ready for SPARQL query. This project used Joseki for the SPARQL endpoint.

Group Discussion -- Suggestions for 2012

The Organizers would like to hear from the group ideas about topics for presentations, agenda items, etc., for 2012 and beyond. To get us started, here are just a few items to consider:

* Vendor panel (short presentations by a panel of 3-5 vendors, followed by discussion/Q&A

* Semantic Web and Big Data

* Semantic Web in <insert your favorite domain here>

2012 topic planning is starting to sound like a conference description (+/-)?

    Hi Matt - I'm a big fan of http://nlp.hivefire.com
This should more properly be called an aggregator, because the blog doesn't editorialize about its posts (just links them from other sources). Still, it's a great resource for on-the-minute research and business news.

I'm also a big fan of Seth Grimes' blogs -

He's a visionary reporter on the text analysis industry

No problem. I would also highly recommend setting up a few daily Google Alerts for NLP and whatever else you might be interested in. It's the next best thing to enterprise-class media monitoring, and can be very helpful.
