Coming up:

Italian-speaking dinner at Bacco, Friday Jan. 31st at 7 pm. Come practice what you’ve learned! We will do our best to seat speakers of the same level near each other so they can practice speaking more comfortably. English-only speakers are welcome to come, too, but we will have them sit together so that Italian students have the chance to immerse themselves in the language during dinner. $30 for appetizer, main course, and dessert. (Drinks not included.) Bring all the study materials, flashcards, dictionaries, phrase books, and more to help you out! RSVP and get info here.

Join us for lunch at La Fontana North Charleston, Sunday Feb. 16th at 1 pm. This is NOT an Italian-only meal, so if you don’t speak a word of Italian, don’t worry! This will be a casual meal – we’ll order off the menu – and it’s a great opportunity for new members to come meet others in the group. Get more information and sign up here.

The 2nd annual Italian Festival is fast approaching – it will be held April 26th in Azalea Park in Summerville – and before that, the Festa Italiana committee has organized a Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, March 29th. The price is $60 for each player, which includes a cart, lunch, and access to a special golf clinic by VIP Guest Sean “The Beast” Fister, who is a 3 time Hall of Fame long drive champion! The clinic will start at 11:30; tee time is 12 noon. Get info on how to register here on meetup or on the Lowcountry Festa Italiana site. This will be a lot of fun and will raise money for a great cause!

Finally, if you’re interested in hosting a party, get in touch and we’ll make it happen!

Have a great weekend,
