September Game Development Monthly Meeting

The semi-official topic of discussion will be Steam's Greenlight project. It's changed how games get onto Steam (the biggest digital distribution platform), and there's been a lot of press and debate over all the finer details. Of course, if you just want to talk about making games, or playing games, or anything else, feel free to show up and do that.

If you have not been to the DEC before, GPS, mapquest, has been known to give you the WRONG place, check out the directions and map here... (really!), and look for the sign that says "The POST"

http://decindublin.com/contact/map-directions/

DEC is an office buildings at corner of 161/post rd and Eiterman Rd

Bring your laptop and/or your current game you're making. There's usually people there til 5-6PM, so don't worry if you can't make it right at 1pm.

call[masked] if you get lost.

If you need further help please email alex at oh iogame@ ho mail.com (without the spaces)

Wonderful! These meeting seem to grow larger every time. Good to see the enthusiasm in Ohio. We should start to talk about how to expand.

Warning: There is road construction in the area and they don't want you to do a left turn onto eiterman rd. Please just continue down 161 and there is a round-a-bout (traffic circle) within a block. circle around and come back to eiterman rd.

I'll try to make it out this time. You can see how the different games on Greenlight are doing at this link: hhttp://www.shrewdlogarithm.com/greenlight.htm
Our game Ballads of Reemus has 1% of the needed rating so far, and is in the top 13% of the games on there according to the link above. Here's our Greenlight page:

Valentine: I don't think it would be a problem. In fact, I'm sure most of us would enjoy it.
