Well, hello Lucky Ones, and welcome to our "about page".  This group was formed on December 4, 2010, and since then we have had wonderful success in meeting each other, scheduling meetings and planning our events! Thank you to all of our members for their participation in this wonderful group!  I would encourage anyone who just wants to meet great people, and expand their circle of friends to experience some fun activities together to look at us and join our group! It is not the intention of this group to form a "dating" group, what we really want is to meet friends and have fun together! (And so far it's working!)

We currently have over 100 members and as we grow, we are planning some really interesting and exciting things to do in 2012.  Here is a listing of recent things we have talked about doing: 

Happy hour and food at least a couple of times per month

Local Live Music Nights (at Jack Quinns, Southside Johnnys and Salsa Brava)

Stargazers concerts, Fine Arts Shows, Movie Nights

Bowling and/or Nighttime Mini golf at Peak Bowl and Adventure Golf, with dinner at Zio's.

 Sky Sox games for Friday Night Fireworks, and $2.00 Hot Dog Sundays

Camping trips, BBQ's, swim parties, pot lucks

Dance Lessons, Group ballroom, Salsa and Country

Board Game and Card Playing Nights Possible venues are coffee shops downtown, and even Village Inn has expressed interest in hosting a Dinner/Dessert/Card & Board Game Night for us.

Coffee Shops = Talk and get togethers just because!  We need some good suggestions from y'all!

Getting out for HIKES , especially as the weather gets nicer - favorite spots seem to be Red Rock Canyon, Helen Hunt Falls area at Cheyenne Canyon and Stratmoor Areas, the Paint Mines in Calhan, and Santa Fe Trail for Biking and Walking.

Mineral and Hot Springs trips, i.e. Idaho Springs, Indian Springs, Ojo Caliente in NM, or Glenwood Springs for overnight trips

So, as you can see, we have all been busy coming up with these wonderful ideas. Now, let's put 'em to use and get it done!!  Please watch for new Meetups coming up for the next several months as these ideas take shape.
