This is a steadily growing group for anyone who is interested in vegetarianism, veganism, pescetarianism, raw-foodism and their likes.

There are different reasons for being interested in a vegetarian lifestyle. Many of us are particularly concerned with animal rights, while others may be more interested in improving their health or reducing their carbon footprint.

However, we don't think there should be a hard criterion to qualify for being part of this meetup group. Even those who don't actively practice any of these diets or lifestyles are most welcome to join this group, as long as they are respectful of other members' beliefs. Hopefully, curious members can enjoy the food and company in meetups and be allured to consider these lifestyles. So whatever your reason may be, just join us!

Typical vegetarian events include potlucks, parties, picnics and checking out local restaurants. Members can come up with their own suggestions and will often find a sizable and enthusiastic crowd that attends them.

On the message boards and in the meetups, the primary language used is English, as most members are from all across the globe. Veg expats often have a difficult time, as their Danish isn't quite good enough for them to be members of Danish vegetarian groups. Since it's often difficult to come by other vegetarians in this country, it may be quite lonely (at least food-wise), which is one of the reasons why the group was originally created back in 2009. But Danes are absolutely welcome in this group as well.
