Village of Hope Charity Bowl a Thon- Bowl for Jamaica

Details

Our next "Give Back" is to a small community in Jamaica.

Two years ago Jane Barton-Greig was invited to visit a small town in Jamaica. She became friends with the local pastor and decided to send money to help the village. In the past two years the $3,000 she has send has built a home for an elderly lady who lived in a shack, cleared the grass off an old sugar factory field and bought uniforms for the soccer teams. Her next mission is to paint and roof an old sugar factory so the village can create a sustainable income by renting out the building. Please support Jane’s Jamaican village. Also, 100% of your money goes to help build a sustainable economy and a future for the village in Jamaica.

How does the Bowl a Thon work? If you are interested (children and grandchildren are welcome to participate) I will send you a Bowl a Thon sheet. You ask a few people if they would like to donate money to help a village in Jamaica. The above information is on the Bowl a Thon sheet as well as some pictures of what Jane has accomplished. You and others donate what you wish. On Saturday, March 16th you bring your pledge sheet and money to the Bowl a Thon. The proceeds are given to Jane and she will make sure the money is sent to the pastor in Jamaica and at a later date we will have a meet up so http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/5/e/8/0/event_209784192.jpegyou can see what your money has done and talk to the village people.

The cost to bowl is $4.50 and $2.00 to rent shoes.

There are no tax receipts for this cause.
