The Cowtown Backyard Poultry Meetup Group Pages

Beth Skinner founded this fun group many years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting beth when she and her husband hosted a meet-up at my place aka Elizabeth Anna's urban farm and garden.
We continued to get to know many chicken lovers and loved visiting Beth's Poultry farm.
I know that the group activity got to be to much for beth due to several circumstances.

This group appeals to active members and non-acitive member who need information.
Most are passionate about raising chickens, and guiding others to be foul keepers.

Every year my family, and community have a festival in the fall and this is where we ask members to come and get to know each other. (calender) for more info

Last year one of the members came and sold her chickens at the table. In fact one of my friends bought nearly every one of flock. If you plan on selling we do ask that you rent you own table.

This year Shirlene another organizer will be running the table, since, i am usually the one running around like a chicken with her head cut off it will not be me. I hope to have chicken stickers on hand so that members will put these on for ID.

The business Elizabeth Anna pays for the dues of this meet up so we encourage our members to shop at EA to keep this great local sustainable business growing. Besides chicken feed, they carry pet food, plants, soils, organic fertilizers and have a Saturday farm market representing 5 family farms currently. Besides having an old fashioned market they also have a new csa--community supported agriculture that anyone can join.

Thanks to you all for keeping the group going and participating however you are able too.

fondly, Elizabeth and James Samudio
