Details

The DC Green Connection cordially invites you to join our friends at the Green Living Project (https://www.greenlivingproject.com/about/) for a night of music, beverages and adventure film. The Green Living Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate and inspire individuals and communities to live a more sustainable lifestyle by using multi-media tools to document, promote, and support successful and unique models of sustainability from around the world.

While the DC Green Connection typically promotes events and green efforts that are local to Washington, D.C., we decided it might be fun for our members to be taken on a visual tour through Central America (Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama!) to see what other communities are doing to make their lifestyles and environment more sustainable too. So please join us for:

"Global Sustainability: Central America",

Presented by Amazon Conservation Association featuring Special Guest Speaker Jonathan B. Tourtellot, National Geographic Fellow and renowned Geotourism Editor, National Geographic Traveler

Free beverages and food, free giveaways for the first 50 attendees, incredible travel packages raffled off, LIVE music, special local guest speakers and more!

A voluntary $10 donation is requested at the door, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a featured GLP Project – chosen by YOU! Join us for this special DC event!

EVENT OVERVIEW
Having documented 50+ projects across 14 countries across Latin America, Africa, and North America, Green Living Project is excited to premiere its new multi-media presentation on Central America! Experience the expedition team’s journey and witness the latest efforts in marine conservation (leatherback turtles), adventure eco-lodges, voluntourism, urban sustainable tourism, indigenous communities, education, sustainable forestry, and more! Come learn about responsible adventure travel, sustainable living, and how you can get directly involved with these exciting projects!

Music & Reception from 6-7 with Speaker/Film starting at 7pm
