I'd like to get rolling with this Meetup group again, but before planning a new time/place/topic I wanted to hear from you. Why? Well, turnout was rather poor the first three meetings, so before trying to revive the group I want to make sure to get your input about what you would like the group to be: when and where to meet, what to talk about, etc. What are your interests in the the area, and what would you like to get out of the group? What would it take to get you out to a meeting? Or would you prefer some sort of online meeting or communication through the message board instead? What's your vision for our group?
Meet other local people who are interested in an exchange of ideas and information regarding the study of dreams, synchronicity (meaningful coincidence) and imagination.
Using Robert Moss' book The Three 'Only' Things as a starting point, we'll explore how to take these marginalized dimensions of life seriously, using them for practical guidance as well as to increase self-awareness and our sense of meaning and purpose.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes tells us: "Asking the proper question is the central action of transformation—in fairy tales, in analysis, and in individuation. The key question causes germination of consciousness. The properly shaped question always emanates from an essential curiosity about what stands behind. Questions are the keys that cause the secret doors of the psyche to swing open." (Women Who Run with the Wolves)
Some key questions we might ask: What goes on in the world-behind-the-world; what moves in the background of the surface dynamics of our lives; and what's possible when we open to an awareness of these other levels of being?
