Walk: Dalkey & Killiney Hill (7km Moderate Walk over 3.5 hours)

*****This walk starts at 2:45pm sharp!!!! I will be there are 2:40pm after getting off a train and we will leave at 2:45pm *****

Hello! We'll meet outside Dalkey train station and start at 2:45pm.

We'll go up and down lots and lots and lots of steps and hills over Killiney Hill and by the sea many times over 3.5 hours on a Sunday afternoon!

It's 5 miles over 3.5 hours due to the large number of hills and we will have a toilet/coffee break for 20 minutes and at least 5 short scenery breaks.

Please bring shoes for walking hills!

I walked this route and there are more steps than I could have imagined!

This is NOT a stroll, closer to a hike!

See you all then!

A walk with stunning views, the trips up and down the steps were well worth it. The lemon cake was divine and the company was friendly and welcoming.
Well done and thanks to Alan.

Hi Yvonne and thanks for that. I'm running late so dont wait incase I dont make it on time. Driving from north side so I will just take a chance! If I dont make it on time, no harm done! Maybe I will catch up along the way or something. I think Alan has his no up, so the best thing to do is to call when I get there and park the car up somewhere and then catch up. Hopefully see you later. Thanks again Yvonne.

Hi Alan, are you returning to Dalkey, or finishing in Killiney? I might drive to Dalkey and park there and join you if that's ok? Not sure if I would stand the pace of 3.5hrs?, but would be great to join you for some of the walk if that would be acceptable?

Hi everyone. Just a reminder that this walk is not a stroll and is nearly constantly steps and hills. It's not for anyone with any back, leg, ankle problems. I did the walk last weekend to check the route - the views are amazing, absolutely fabulous but please bring appropriate footwear and please be ok with lots of steps and hills :) Thanks
