Durham SisterFriends was started for African-American women to connect and build friendships. The purpose of the group is for women to get together and inspire,motivate and uplift each other in the spirit of sisterhood. The group is geared towards women in their 30's and 40's and early 50's. The group is a sounding board a shoulder to cry on and advice from ladies who have many lessons learned from life experinces. The group will meet and socalize and enage in activities and outings to promote overall well being and enjoying life to the fulless.

    "The tour guide was informative about Durham and what took place in the 50s and 60s. She was able to give details about Durham's role in the Civil Rights Movement. It was very educational and we got some exercise as well!!!"
