Earning more money with Boost

Boris Schäling will talk about: "Why the Boost libraries are so important, what common goals all C++ developers pursue and how Boost helps us making it easier to reach those goals. While I will back up my arguments with some code examples, it will be a high-level talk which should be easy to follow and should motivate everyone to learn more about the Boost libraries.".

Speaker

Boris Schäling is an active member of the Boost C++ community. He was a Boost C++ representative at the Google Summer of Code Mentor Summit 2010 and spoke at the Boost C++ conference BoostCon 2011. He coordinates efforts to finish Boost.Process and contributed the I/O object windows::object_handle to Boost.Asio. He is the author of the books “The Boost C++ Libraries” and “Die Boost C++ Bibliotheken” and a Boost C++ expert for the German computer magazine c’t.

Update on topic for topic in 29th of January Meetup

Thanks everybody for voting. For the January Meetup Johnny Willemsen and Marcel Smit from Remedy IT kindly offered that one of them could give a presentation. They provided us with three abstracts, and the second one "Abstract 2: Modern C++11 based component frameworks" was chosen with 5 votes out of 11 (at the time of writing).

Results can be viewed here: http://cppse.nl/ug/poll_results.php

Organization

Special thanks to Jens Weller from Meeting C++ for helping me out with this Meetup.

Lastly, if you want to be an organizer for this Meetup, I would gladly encourage that. I like doing it, but it would be awesome if more people got involved. I think it may be good for keeping the momentum =)
