Bingo Night at Sam Bond's Garage

It's been a while and it feels like time for another Bingo night!

If you've never been, Sam Bond's bingo is part bingo, part stand up comedy and lots of fun. Totally free, with prizes ranging from amazing garage sale finds to actual useful items, you never quite know what you're in for. Games vary and include straight bingo, cursing bingo, loser's bingo and blackout bingo. Sam Bond's has a light evening menu, as well as a full bar with several micro brews on tap.

Bingo starts at 9 p.m. but is VERY popular, you have to get there early to have a shot at a table. I'll be there at 7, if you're much later than that I can't guarantee you a seat. Plus I get lonely by myself so don't be late!

Yes, it's a work night, but we all have to live a little right?

he bingo meetup began with six of us in a relatively quite bar, with Chad holding the focus tenatiously onto reminising about movies. I was able to muster some introduction with the new fellow, Sung. I felt grounded enough to people watch around the bar, with plenty of striking people to study. Though talking was fairly impossible for me, eye contact with the others at the table conveyed a lot, and for the first hour I was able to hear the others. At a little after 8PM someone turned on the super loud music system, ending any conversational subtlety or elegance. Chad got Bingo cards and pennies, launching a riot of gossip about the graffiti on the backs, and bouncing coins into a cup. I just watched. Kath left before bingo. The bingo fellows on stage were cute, but I found the noise and random guffaw fairly tiresome, so I also left after several bingo games, mustering a friendly handshake and goodbye with everyone.
