Summary of Our Last Meeting: Following up on rumors of lizard men and an elf who disappeared in the swamps, the party originally set out for the muddy fens southeast of The Keep but found themselves insufficiently provisioned. Realizing the logistical effort required, they instead elected to return the the Caves of Chaos and explore the entrance left previously unvisited. There they were ambushed by kobolds and sprung a pit trap. The noise attracted the guards and their pet giant rats. A melee ensued over the opened pit, as the kobolds attempted to cross a plank they laid across it. Eventually they were defeated and the party fought on, terrorizing a large kobold lair into surrender with flaming oil, killing their chieftain and his concubines. Treasures of jewels, copper, silver and electrum were shared by all, but the party still had not escaped the kobold lair! Instead, they elected to hide in their storage room amidst gruesome preserved human flesh.
