Attend an Art Opening at Berkeley College!

Let's check out my brother Matthew's art opening in Midtown!

He's been in shows in SoHo, Long Island City, Williamsburg, and Tribeca, among other locations.

To see examples of Matthew's work, you can visit his website at:

Also, there's a short video of Matthew's paintings on YouTube:

Should be a fun evening!

How to meet us: I expect to be at the opening when it starts, 5:30pm. Look for me holding my hand-scrawled MEETUP sign, but I won't hold it all night. So, if you arrive later, just look for me [see profile picture] or others of the group. I haven't been to this place before, so I have no idea how big (or small) it may be. At some point, I'll be talking with my brother, who I'm sure would be very glad to meet you, thank you for coming, and talk to you about his creative process.   I believe there will be light refreshments, and the event is advertised as lasting until 7pm.

Admission: Admission to the opening is FREE. We do also have our own $1 fee to help defray the costs of maintaining this meetup group, payable to the organizer.

The Berkeley Gallery at Berkeley College is located at 3 East 43 Street, New York New York. This is between Madison Avenue and Fifth Avenue, so it is easily reached by 4,5,6, to "42 Street/Grand Central" and only a short walk from the B,D,F, M down at Bryant Park. You can also get there by the Fifth Avenue/Madison Avenue buses.

It was great to see everyone from "The Great Places in Gotham Meetup" group.
Thank you so much for attending.

We had a nice group of people for the art opening, a mix of new members and returning. W extended our welcome to Ioulia and Virginia, and were glad to see Kathy, Mary, Teresa, Will, and Lorraine plus her guest Janet. Matthew offered all an explanation for how he paints and produces his canvases.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
