Hello to everyone. My name is Julia and I have decided to start this group to encourage other mums to meetup. This group is ideal to make new friends, any one can join especially mothers that have had babies already. First time expecting mothers and first time mothers are also welcome.
The group is absolutely free to join and the only costs that might incurr are travelling costs if we are to go out for the day or eating and drinking out.
This group is to encourage first time mums and mums to be, or mums already to meet up and chat over tea or coffee and occasionally go out for some pram walks and talks, ideally to make friends with other mums in the area.
Guildford Mums Meetup would also like to meetup for babies and toddler swimming at the Lido (in the summer) or Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre.
I was hoping on starting a pregnancy/baby book club, where we would meet once a month in a meeting room at the Guildford Library to discuss new and old books that have come out, that might be useful. The costs of renting a meeting room would be for two hours and the rate for booking the room is £14.00 per hour, happy to discuss the costs at a later date.
Any other thoughts and ideas would be very welcome.
