Calling all Gutsy Lawyers!

Have you started your own law firm or are you in the process of doing so? If so, this group is for you.

More and more lawyers are breaking out and founding their own firms, many while they are still relatively early on in their legal careers. These trailblazers encounter similar challenges in starting and operating their firms, including: setting up the firm’s legal, administrative and technological infrastructure; branding and marketing; finding affordable office space; attracting and retaining clients; deciding on a fee structure; determining if and how to take equity in a client's early-stage business; dealing with accounts receivable; determining when and how to hire an assistant or clerk; working with mentors; and developing a network for referrals.

The objective of The Gutsy Lawyer Meetup Group is to provide an informal forum where pioneering lawyers can meet each other, relax, network, and share and seek advice about issues of common interest. Members are encouraged to suggest topics they might like to address at subsequent meetups and/or to arrange a brief presentation on popular topics.
