I want to thank everybody who came to our last meetup (it was a little while back but only now do I have a chance to write this letter). I think there were about 15 members there and the group wanted to narrow down the subject of our ?Save the Earth? project. We decided that we would focus on the subject of trees (and tree preservation). And that we were going to contact non-profits as we move along with exhibition projects that focus on nature preservation, in order to combine efforts regarding showings.

I started a website for our gallery/theatre, that will feature individual work of artists from inside and outside the meetup, as well as collective projects that we do together.
It?s still under construction, but by the summer it should be completely operational.
For the exhibitions that we plan together we will also gather artistic work from inside and outside the meetup, otherwise it would be too limiting. The participating core of members who come to the meetings (and are in good communication with me) will be the ones helping make decisions about the exhibitions that we do. But I will be emailing the group from time to time to let you know what?s going on, and some of you may be able to participate in different facets of the exhibitions. As a gallery, we would like to make money in our exhibitions as well as cooperate on a more global message.
The artwork on our walls will be seen mostly by people who come to our classes during the week, people who attend our weekend events, and anyone we invite to our openings.

To further the goals of our exhibition project as well as to meet some of the goals of the meetup of going to galleries I have scheduled a meetup at the G2 Gallery, which focuses on work that centers around nature and it?s preservation. The meetup is scheduled for Saturday May 15th at 3pm. You?re welcome to come to the meetup even if you are not planning to contribute to the exhibition. I know we have artists for whom nature may not be the center of their work. Also, the musicians in the group are welcome to come along, some of you may also enjoy playing in our openings/events.

And I would like to use this opportunity to welcome all new members, I hope we get to meet you soon at a meetup.

Please RSVP here so I know you're coming:

Regarding my involvement with our meetup site, etc., my schedule is very busy (I teach and manage the theatres, create art, etc), and of course I know that many of your schedules are busy as well. So with the meetup and the exhibition plans I?m moving at the speed that I can manage. So if you don?t see a lot of activity at our website any given time, know that I?ll be back posting as soon as I can.

I want to tell you that I have enjoyed meeting the members of the meetup, and that I hope that we can move each other along with our goals, as well as share time together enjoying each other?s company and art.

See you soon then!
