Bastille Day Celebration & Fireworks at Amanda's Waterfront Home in Seabrook

Save the date! Tonight we will celebrate Bastille Day/ La Fête Nationale with a French potluck and fireworks (feux d'artifices) at Amanda and Mark's waterfront home in Seabrook. We have 2 decks overlooking the water and a view of the Kemah Boardwalk fireworks display.

FRENCH SPEAKING NOT REQUIRED at this event.

Time: Party starts at 7PM. Fireworks start at 9:30PM.

Place:
Amanda's home in Seabrook, near Kemah, about 40 minutes southeast of Downtown Houston. Address will be sent to all "YES" RSVPs closer to the date.

About the Fireworks:
Every Friday in June and July, the Kemah Boardwalk has a free fireworks display. Fireworks take place at 9:30PM and last about 20 minutes. RAIN OR SHINE! (Meme si il pleut, il'y aura des feux d'artifices.)

What to Bring:
Please bring a French food or beverage to share.
Some suggestions: wine, cheese, French bread, French pastry, salade nicoise, french fries, etc.

Amanda and Mark will make poulet Basquaise. I also have some sirop de menthe so we can make diabolo menthe.

You may also want to bring a folding chair to watch the fireworks, if you don't like to stand for 20 minutes.

What to know before you go:
-House is up 1 flight if stairs and is not handicapped accessible.
-ADULTS ONLY. House is NOT childproofed!
-No smoking inside. You can smoke outside on the deck or in the yard.
-Friendly dogs and cats are on the premises. If you are allergic, be sure to take your meds!
