Make some friends, learn a few things, and, of course, improve my spanish skills.
Travels, nature, cycling, sailing, art history, languages.
Travelling to Spain or Latin America, trying to communicate with the Guatemalan kids where I work.
The various dialects. For example, I am very comfortable speaking spanish with spanish people, but I have a hard time with people from Central America.
English, Spanish, I can read and understand Italian, German, French. I took Latin in school, so I have some basic language skills
Hola, soy Jose Luis, soy un Americano con familia en España. Me gustaria mejorar mi nivel de español y al mismo tiempo hacer nuevos amigos. Hasta pronto...
This is an interesting group of professional people who are practicing their Spanish language skills in a low intensity, fun, social setting rather than a classroom with drills and homework. Marcela is an excellent facilitator who helps people along and encourages everyone in the group to help each other out. We have discussions on many topics, and the members find that they are eager to offer their opinions and experiences, but they have to communicate them in Spanish... Whatever you skill or comfort level is, this is a great bunch of people and we invite everyone to come and give it a try. The more people participate, the more fun it will be for everyone.
