The Hoxton Mix Mixer #7 at Digital Shoreditch - "The Bombe (Turing-Welchman)"

We're excited to announce that the next Mixer event is going to be taking place as part of the Digital Shoreditch festival. We're curating the "Next Tech" day that is running during the day, and then having the Mixer event (with booze!) in the evening.

Rob Bateman - Dissecting the Gloop: Anatomy of an Away3D project on mobile.

With AIR 3.2, hardware acceleration in Flash has been let loose on mobile, presenting huge potential for mobile developers looking to simplify their publishing process across platforms. However, Stage3D is still relatively recent technology, so what can we do when trying to establish an effective workflow for production? Rob Bateman from Away3D takes you through some of the approaches used on their recent game Gloop-a-Hoop, released on iOS, Android and Facebook earlier this month.

I enjoyed my first meet up with Hoxton Mix Mixer crowd. I'd be nice to have sessions with smaller groups or name tags to make networking easier to newbies

Great talks about things ranging from 'wet tech', through to gamification. Involved and relaxed, which led to a great atmosphere and social conversation. I did more networking more naturally here than at any other events I have been to.

It was a good event. Lots of variation in the companies which attended with interesting legal and accountancy needs to consider. And the beer was ice cold!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
