For our next Meetup, April 28th, the topic will be: "The USS Monitor vs. CSS Virginia (rebuilt from the Merrimac): how these first ironclad ships ushered in the modern era of marine engineering and naval warfare." Stuart Hirsch will introduce the topic, followed by open discussion.

Note that we're meeting at a different location now, since the place we've been meeting at is closing.

We meet the 4th Sunday of each month, 12:00-2:00. Lunch and socializing are from 12:00-1:00, with a presentation from 1:00-1:30 (sometimes the presentation starts before 1:00), then open discussion from about 1:30-2:00.

----------------------------------------------------------

Lunch and socializing, with informal presentations and discussions on various subjects related to human values, such as: aspects of society; the arts; social science; current events; nature and evolution; history; science and technology; ethics; philosophy, etc.

The name of the restaurant is now on the website, so when you're logged in again you can see the name and location, plus a map if you click on the restaurant's name.

Hi, Judy - we welcome a variety of views about human values, related to what different people may consider to be important, high priority, or basic goals. We have a wide range of topics at our monthly Meetups, each of which connects with some aspect of human values.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
