Fifty Shades of Grey - Stylist magazine article and Channel 4 documentary

Hi All,

Just wanted to give you a heads up that today's Stylist ( the free Wednesday magazine given out in the morning at tube stations ) has an article on Fifty Shades of Grey.

I haven't read it yet as I only got to it as I was getting off the tube, but i'm sure it'll be good... if only to understand why it's become such a "cultural" phenomenon.

It seems that we were riding the crest of the wave when we read it as our May Thursday book. Despite it's poor quality and repetitive style it's still going strong ...

There was also a documentary on the book last Sunday on Channel 4 - check it out...

Thanks Sarah Lavery for giving me a heads up on this :-) It was funny to watch ( if only for the bizarre questions that the American interviewers were asking the authour ) but oMmitted to comment on the low level plot devices, use of language, character development etc etc.. Not sure how long this will stay on for..

Happy watching / reading  - and let me know what you think.

Hannah :-)
