Walking and Standing better than short Intense Workouts

Dear Kazoo Walkers,

Check out the latest news at Walking.About.com

“You can't make up for 13 hours of sitting with an hour of vigorous exercise per day, a new study says.

Instead, what works best is to substitute four hours a day walking and two hours standing instead of sitting time....”

My thoughts:

At home low-tech recommendations for movement when you are enthralled with a football game or  TV show is to exercise and watch
the TV.  Keep those dumbbells and exercise bands near your fav chair or get a wobble board (balance board) and/or
a rebounder (mini trampoline) to use during the commercials.
