Do you believe in continuous learning? Do you believe in the need to first grow yourself as a leader before you can grow others? Do you believe in peer accountability? Then this Leadership Book Club is for you! I don’t know about you, but I desire to grow as a leader. While I have good intentions, the reality is I have several leadership books stacked on my nightstand that I haven’t gotten to. I thought by creating a book club we could all fulfill our need for continuous learning with the help of some group accountability. My goal is to read a new leadership book each month and meet once a month to discuss the “ah-ha’s”, action plan to incorporate the information at our workplace, and, if time permits, have an open forum for sharing success stories. We can all learn from each other. I am personally a branch manager for a Credit Union, but anyone from any field is welcome whether you just want to personally grow yourself or are the manager of a team of 50! Everyone is a leader in their own way. Some of the authors and books I am interested in reading are: Linda Kaplan Thaler “The Power of Nice” and “The Power of Small”, John Maxwell (personal favorite & he has so many books to choose from), Dale Carnegie “How to Win Friends & Influence People”, Kevin Carroll “Red Rubber Ball”, Mark Sanborn “The Fred Factor”, Bill George “True North”, Ken Blanchard, etc.
