I'm mostly interested in the mechanics behind games as a learning tool - be it for the game's own controls, or something more serious, like the dissemination of knowledge or encouraging collaboration and competition in a teaching environment. I can't claim to be working on anything specifically educational at the moment, however.
I'm always keen to speak to people using games specifically for education, and it's this field which sparked my interest in academia, both during and after graduation from my games design degree. Naturally I want to understand and master the craft of games design as a teaching mechanism, for whatever goal may be required - so for now I hope simply to meet interesting people doing similarly interesting work in order to learn and share.

I am a fledgling games designer, particularly interested in the use of games as a teaching tool. I attended the GLS conference a couple of years ago, and I try to keep in touch with games-savvy teachers and educational developers.
