As always, anyone is welcome to come along and socialise, paint, or play. No models required to attend.
If you do want to play, know that preparation is key to a speedy battle. Please do bring army lists with you for what your bringing (I suggest Battle Scribe (http://www.battlescribe.net/) for Computer/Mobile devices - its free - knows the rules better than you or I - and does all the math for you).
Battles will be pegged to last the full 3+ hrs (or until 5 turns are complete) wherever possible but will be allowed to go over if both parties agree and there is room for others to play - so the more you have learned the basics and and the characteristics of your Army the more fun you'll have!
Beginners Welcome...!
I want to emphasise that 'beginners' are welcome and encouraged to come. We have a page dedicated to 'How To Play (https://www.meetup.com/The-London-Warhammer-Gaming-Guild/pages/How_to_Play_WH_40k%3F)' with some great video guides. In fact, since many people still have yet to play a game I will be running a table for people just getting to grips with the game. I imagine this table will be popular among our novice players so if you want to be there first please do reserve your place.
We operate a FREEMIUM (https://www.meetup.com/The-London-Warhammer-Gaming-Guild/pages/Our_Freemium_Model/) model, replete with perks for those who contribute!. Contributions on the day are suggested at £1.50 and you'll be a 'Solid Warhammer' for that week. If you want to pay in advance you can get 4 Warmeets for £5.00 (you'll receive a stamp card and I'll keep a separate record also). Larger contributions are welcome! ;-)
The Story So Far...
A NEW story arc is in effect. While last year we saw off an Ork invasion involving one sector, this Campaign will have galactic implications!
Each Warmeet will have 1-2 feature battles which will steer the course of events, the balance of power in the sector, and the course of the campaign as a whole.
LIGHTING: Also while I have purchased additional lights, any mobile lighting you want to bring to help illuminate events would not go unappreciated. This can range from small spotlights to paint by or large lamps. The pub is great in every way other than it getting a bit dark in there.
