The Problem
Capilano Regional park does not have a regular stewardship group looking after it, ivy is rampant in parts of it and it is spreading fast. Let's get in there and pull out that ivy!
Meeting Spot
We are meeting in the District of North Vancouver at the end of Sandown Place. Please carpool, cycle or take transit. If you car pool don't forget to reimburse your driver for gas!

Activities
We will:
Meet at 9.50 am and at 10 am we will walk over to the ivy removal site. Pull ivy until 1 pm(with breaks and refreshments ) Have a picnic lunch at 1 pm (please bring a packed lunch and blanket) if it rains we will forgo this bit. Explore the trails in the area. What to bring with you
Gardening gloves if you have them (they will be provided otherwise) Your own water Rain jacket in case it rains Comfortable shoes or rubber boots that you don't mind getting dirty. Notes

The park is located in the district of North Vancouver and includes a series of trails that run along the Capilano River and a salmon hatchery. The park encompasses the majority of upstream areas of Capilano River below Cleveland Dam. North of the dam is the GVRD watershed.
