Remove Ivy at Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam

Details

At 2 am on Nov 6th clocks are turned backward 1 hour. Good plan to change your clocks before bed the night before on Nov 5th so you're not too early for the event.

This event is on rain or shine

We are meeting at the parking lot at the Quarry Road Entrance (north of Oliver Dr) Please click on this map: http://www.metrovancouver.org/about/maps/Maps/Minnmap.pdf

Please carpool or cycle. If you car pool please don't forget to chip in for gas.

How to car pool!

Minnekhada park is out of the way so let's try to carpool as many of us out there as possible!

Instructions to carpool are as follows: Once you have logged into your meetup account click on "yes" on this page and a text box will appear, type in where you need or can provide a drive from. Also, at the bottom of this page you can "post a message" requesting or offering a ride. Then contact each other directly to make arrangements by going to a members' profile and click on "send email" (make sure you are logged in to use this feature). Preferable that you know the person who is driving you.

Note

There has never been an organized group in Minnekhada Regional Park to remove ivy before and it is spreading!

Let's get in there, show 'em how it's done and kick start more regular stewardship activities in this park!
