Legend by Marie Lu

What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

Full of nonstop action, suspense, and romance, this novel is sure to move readers as much as it thrills.

Finished Prodigy and Champion and loved them both! Then just finished UNWIND (Anny - thanks for the recommendation... really good, and some creepy too, but really good!)

I'm having car trouble so I likely won't make it tonight. I read the book, it was fantastic!

So... Tuesdays are looking popular. Anyone object to Tuesday nights?

I was just putting it out there and asking for feedback because it seems a lot of people had a conflict on Wed. See you tomorrow. Maybe we can take a few moments to discuss it.

It is what it is. If you change it to a day I can't make it, then I'll miss it. It's unlikely we are going to please everyone. I just appreciate the effort we've all put into keeping it going!

I would like to know if it would be possible to change the meet-up day. It would be much better for me and the second Wed. conflicts with my dinner club. Also I have to change my work schedule as Wed. is my usual late night. Appreciate any feedback!

Have a great time, book lovers! This month's meetup is on the same day as my every 2nd Wed meetup - haven't worked out the being "at 2 places at once" machine yet. ;)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
