THE MUSIC ROOM - New York
Presented by HarmoNYom "A Voice for Indian Classical Music"
An innovative and unique project presenting 5 MAESTROS musicians from South Asia bringing music lovers together to celebrate the richness and heritage of the Indian Classical Music by recreating the magic of intimate BAITHAK concerts, one of the most revered traditions of the past!
As well producing 5 FUND-RAISINGS events to support non-for-profit organizations empowering hundreds of "street children" from India through the media of music.
The Music Room Project is a new project exploring innovative ways of providing high quality experiences to the New Yorkers, through Indian Classical Music, as way of engaging, inspiring and challenging communities locally, nationally and internationally.
We bring together enthusiastic individuals those represent and/or would like to explore the diverse aspects of Indian Classical Music and to foster a spirit of harmony and understanding.
The first series of concerts organized for the season 2011 are:
Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt - Mohan Veena (October 2 2010),
Ut. Shahid Parvez Khan - Sitar (February 26 2011),

Ut. Wasifuddin Dagar - Dhrupad Vocalist (May 20 2011)
