In this hands-on workshop, led by Heather Larkin you'll experience a live, tethered photo session with a professional dancer while learning the technical and creative skills that make a dance image truly resonate.
We’ll break down commonly used dance terms and poses, analyze both successful and not-so-successful photo examples, and have open, honest conversations about what makes an image work — especially when photographing teen dancers.
Then, put your knowledge into practice: you'll get the chance to photograph live dance models in both an in-store studio setup and an outdoor park location nearby (weather permitting). This extended shoot time lets you experiment with lighting, angles, and movement across multiple environments.
