There are so many wonderful camera makers out there, but for some of us, Nikon just stands out on its own! When we shoot, when we learn, when we eXplore around, and when we try to grow certain aspects of photography, we face common joys and common hurdles.

This group is about overcoming those certain challenges while learning more about your Nikon gear. You will get to hear and try out common Nikon lingo that can be baffling at times. From lens types and descriptions (ai-*, afs, D, DX, DX), to Nikon View/Capture, to various types of DSLRs (mirrorless, DX, FX, CX), Speed lights (sb400, sb800, sb700, sb900, etc. etc.), remote flash triggers, spot metering, grid lines, AF modes, 3D matrix metering,  51 focusing areas, group AF, AF-on.. the list is endless :)

Apart from learning, you will also be able to share the same joy while shooting with everyone else. It is the end result that matters and it does help when you have more knowledge about your gear in hand.

All members with various levels of experience are encouraged to join this group since there will be ample opportunities for everyone to get away with either learning or teaching, or perhaps both. I would you to participate, collaborate and contribute your knowledge with other meetup members.

Non-Nikon/DSLR shooters are also welcome to join this group! Just note that the *focus* will be on knowing more about Nikon gear usage while covering artistic expression of your photography.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
