What type of back pain do you suffer from?

Severe spinal stenosis, degenerative Joint Disease, disk bulge's. Most is from years of Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis.

How long have you been living with back pain?

Since 2011 but the real pain of shocks down the legs and weakness in the legs came in 2012. I had an MRI and CT scan along with three doctor opinions and they all said surgery "may"relieve the pain but it could also go the other way. In April 2012 I was scheduled for surgery on a Monday and the night before I was ill and had a fever. I called the doctor and he said to postpone it until I was well. During the wait, I was watching "The Doctor's TV show" in May and saw a segment where a mother's daughter was in a terrible car accident and shattered her entire spine into many chard's. She was told she would not be able to walk or basically move even after many surgeries. He mother has a a few degrees in science and got together with a doctor. The created a device called Neurolumen. See next question for more information.

How are you treating your pain?

I had epidurals, shots, heavy medicine, etc and nothing worked. Before re scheduling this surgery, I called and investigated this device at and after reading all about it and customer comments, I went through my insurance company since it was a FDA approved medical device and some insurance companies approve it and some do not. You do need a prescription for it but you need to first contact Neurolumen for some forms to fill out. You also can purchase it out right but it is expensive. I got one and used it on my low back. That was last Aug 2012. In a few weeks I was almost pain free and moving my back around as if nothing was wrong. Today Feb 7th, I can say this is a miracle device that works on many parts of the body. It helps hands, legs, feet, arms, shoulders, and especially backs. I can not say enough about this and I save my back from surgery. Check the web site and Call them to see if it is right for you and if your insurance covers it.

What do you hope to gain from joining this group?

Hi all, my name is Steve Pritikin and I have severe low back degenerative disease and stenosis from L-4 to S-1. Most of the damage is from my RA/OA over the years. I was scheduled for surgery in April 2012 but spared at the last minute.
