Peter C Martini on Subroutine Signatures in Perl 5

Perl 5.2 introduced prototypes to the language, and in the documentation noted that names were not allowed, to allow for proper signatures in the future.

That was almost 18 years ago, and we still don't have sub signatures in core.

We're getting there, though. Come listen to Peter Martini detail what's been done, what's left to do, and the hurdles along the way.
