I am looking for an experienced PhoneGap developer who can replicate what we’ve already done natively, so that we can compare and decide going forward whether PhoneGap is a “good enough” solution for us, or whether coding separately for each platform is still our fate.
We’ve so far written for BuildingLink two IOS apps and one Android app, each of which are pretty robust in terms of the amount of the website functionality that they replicate or enhance. Since BuildingLink as a real estate management operations “enterprise” type of platform, there is still a huge amount of functionality to port over, and there will continue to be more all the time. Obviously (the holy grail) it would be nice to be able to develop one and deploy on multiple platforms (PhoneGap claims 7-platform compatibility these days.) But the devil is in the details, so we want to get beyond the marketing claims and see what level of quality can actually be produced.
If you know someone experienced in PhoneGap, send them my way. Also, if any of you have already gone down this road of building parallel apps and comparing them, please share what you know or have learned so far. Thanks.
