Meetup at Gordon Hawkins, Sat Sep 11, 5:30 pm. Brugmansia in profusion.

Details
People who have enjoyed our past meetups know that Gordon Hawkins is one of our key roofgardening experts, and also that he's been entranced by Brugmansia, or Angel Trumpets. Gordon has transmuted his Cobble Hill rooftop into a microclimate simulating the environment of a Peruvian mountainside, allowing him to produce thousands of these exotic blooms during their prime season--early fall.
Our meetup is taking place on Sept 11th. What better way to appreciate the privilege of being alive than to visit a garden abounding in growth? We're meeting at the end of day to view these mysterious plants in the late afternoon light and then, as dusk descends, experience the distinctive perfume that will emanate from Hawkin's forest of foot-long psychotropic flora. Interspersed with the Angel Trumpets you will find a wide assortment of trees, flowers and other forms of plant life.
We will only cancel a meetup if it's literally bucketing rain, and in that case, would move the event to the exact same time the following day. I would send you an email notification by mid-afternoon and additionally post a notice at our Meetup website.
If you wish, bring some light refreshments and nibbles. You'll be in Cobble Hill/Boerum Hill, interesting areas to explore, very easily accessible by F train. Use Hopstop.com. See you on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 pm.
Please note: he lives on the third floor and you must be able to climb stairs.
If you have any questions, call my cell at 917 747 7821.
I'm adding in a googlemap. The closest subway is Carroll Street on the F train.
