The purpose of the group is to introduce people to the pleasure of participating in Scottish Country dancing. The flow of the dances, the lilt of the music and the social nature of the occasion make dancing a rewarding activity in every sense. The Meetup Group will join with more experienced dancers who will provide teaching and guidance as required to enable everyone to get the most out of dancing. No experience is necessary, nor is it necessary to be from Scotland or wear a kilt. Similarly there is no need to come with a partner. The group would suit anyone looking to meet some new people, learn a new skill and enjoy an uplifting experience in a relaxed setting.


The price for an evening of dancing, including tea and cookies, is $10 and new participants get a second evening free.
