*More about the Sebastopol VBC: This will be a ten-day long PlaceMaking Festival that combines creative community development, hands-on education, and community celebration. Our mission is to facilitate collaboration and enable projects to happen by connecting neighbors, artists, designers, builders, politicians, and enthusiastic citizens. We will invite and encourage these projects while providing professional oversight and a timeline culminating in a 10 day celebration of building!
Sidenote from Raines: This is based on the VBC that Portland (Oregon) has been doing for over a decade, that we've participated in several times, and which has connected to many cohousing and other communities and helped build skills and awareness that relate to natural building and community living. There will be opportunities to present, engage, and learn, and perhaps organize new community living options through this.
The Sebastopol VBC is a Transition Sebastopol project.
