Interest and enthusiasm demands a repeat! And, perhaps a group of Ottawa folks travelling to Vienna!
Come join me at Rainbow St. Laurent Cinema this coming Tuesday, June 23rd to see "Women in Gold"! Let's all dream of Vienna!
Rainbow St. Laurent is a terrific cinema at St. Laurent mall in Ottawa's east end. Manager Carol Usher enjoyed our first outing on Tues, June 16th so much, she invited me to come back next Tues, June 23rd.
This is a great opportunity for us 'meet up' folks to come together, learn about Vienna, and see this excellent movie.
Carol is setting me up with a small table in the lobby, so after you buy your ticket, you can come by and see me, connect with other 'meet up' friends, and maybe grab some info about Vienna . (I'll even have an offer from my partners at Tauck River Cruising too, just in case you're enticed to go see Vienna after the movie.)
It's $2.50 Tuesday at Rainbow theatres, however, so we CANNOT save seats in a block. But, at this price, it's a tremendous bargain for you to come out and see this first-rate movie before it disappears from local theatres all together. And why not connect with 'meet up' friends. (RSVP'ing for the meetup just let's us get an idea of the head count - you still have to purchase your own movie ticket admission from Rainbow, and buy your own popcorn/ drinks/ snacks.)
Come early - the movie sold out two Tuesdays in a row. So, shoot to be there early (6:00-6:30 may be wise) if you want to sit with other 'meet up' folks. (Rainbow's doors open in the morning for early shows, so you can either purchase your ticket online, or come to the box office and buy it in person.)

synopsis:
WOMAN IN GOLD is the remarkable true story of one woman's journey to reclaim her heritage and seek justice for what happened to her family. Sixty years after she fled Vienna during World War II, an elderly Jewish woman, Maria Altmann (Helen Mirren), starts her journey to retrieve family possessions seized by the Nazis, among them Klimt's famous painting 'The Lady in Gold'. Together with her inexperienced but plucky young lawyer Randy Schoenberg (Ryan Reynolds), she embarks upon a major battle which takes them all the way to the heart of the Austrian establishment and the U.S. Supreme Court, and forces her to confront difficult truths about the past along the way.
