Post-Thanksgiving Hike in Ojai! Cozy Dell

Let's work off some of those Thanksgiving calories by taking this moderate, beautiful hike up the Cozy Dell trail and loop around along the Foothill trail. This is a very picturesque hike with mountain views. We will pass through a meadow and will have several scenic overlooks.

Distance. 7.5 Miles

Elevation: Approx. 750 ft, but there’s quite a bit of up and down

Time Estimate: 3 - 3.5 hours depending on pace of group

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS AN INTERMEDIATE HIKE. THIS IS NOT A HIKE FOR BEGINNERS. PLEASE KNOW YOUR OWN ABILITIES.

We will meet at the Cozy Dell trailhead on Highway 33. Take the 101 to the 33. Make a left at Vons and continue up the 33 for approximately 3.5 miles. The parking and sign for the Cozy Dell trailhead will be on the left (trailhead is across the street on the right).

Wear lug-soled shoes and bring an adequate amount of water to drink. I suggest also bringing some snacks and some clothes for layering.

We can possibly grab a bite or something to drink afterward if anyone is interested, possibly at Papa Lennon's in Meiners Oaks.
