What to Bring: Water, Snacks, Sweater/Jacket, and Flashlight. You may also want to consider gloves (recommended for the rocks) long pants if you are worried about scrapes and bruises.

This hike, will take you to Castle Peak (as seen below). The top of the peak offers some exceptional views of the San Fernando Valley. Moonrise will be at 7:28 that evening and so we should be on top of the peak shortly after the moon rises.

From Valley Circle Drive in West Hills, turn west on Highlander Rd. and park just past Elmsbury Ln. See map above.
