Hump Day Hike on the Johnson Motorway

This will be our 3rd Hump Day Hike on this trail. We'll park UNDER the 118 in Chatsworth (directions below) then hike a short distance up Iverson Road until we get to an exclusive, gated community where I have been told that Smokey Robinson, the singer, lives. Bring your camera, as the homes are amazing.

Once we exit the this mansion-speckled neighborhood, we'll get on a fire road until we arrive at the ruins of an old ranch house that we can explore as we lay out our customary food and drink to share with others (optional, so don't feel obligated to bring anything).

After hanging out and trading tall tales of hiking adventures, we'll head back down to our cars on the same route we took up.

Directions: Get on the Santa Susana Pass Road, either from Topanga in Chatsworth or at the Rocky Peak Road exit off the 118 between Chatsworth and Simi Valley. If from Topanga, drive toward Simi and if from Rocky Peak Exit drive towards Chatsworth. Watch for Iverson Road, which only goes ONE DIRECTION (north) off the Pass road. Flanking both sides of Iverson Road you'll see a green and white sign that says "The Church at Rocky Peak". Turn into THAT road and drive until you are under the 118. Park anywhere under or almost under the 118, just so long as you pull completely off Iverson. We'll walk up to the gated and guarded community from there and the guard will let us in.
