The Peninsula Libertarian party is a group of individuals dedicated to the cause of restoring our country to the Founding Fathers' vision for America. Our party platform is founded in the ideals of civil liberties, individual freedoms, personal property rights, and fair taxation for all Americans.

Only a minority of Peninsula LP members have been self-proclaimed Libertarians for their entire lives. Practically all are recovered Republicans or Democrats who have come to grips with their addiction to empty promises fed to them by the two dominant parties. The majority of Peninsula LP members realize that they were always Libertarians at heart, but didn't discover the Libertarian option until their later years.

We welcome anyone and everyone to our meetings and social events, so even if you're not sure about this Libertarian thing, we'd love to have you!

If you have an issue that you feel ought to be brought to our attention in the area of Civil Liberties, Tax Limitations, or Property Rights, please contact us!

We typically meet in Newport News, Virginia and are involved in Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York, Williamsburg and Gloucester. We also often work with our sister organization on the other side of the water, the Tidewater Libertarian Party.

Want to attend?

Come to watch Ed Briley and Donnie Tuck speak to our party about how they match up with Libertarian values and why we should give them our support for Hampton City Council.

Anyone else wishing to come to our meeting and ask for support for either Hampton City Council or Newport News City Council is welcome to come speak.

We will vote for whether or not we will support them on the 1st of December.

What members are saying

Well if you believe that our governments have lost sight of their purpose and their constitutional boundaries, this is a good group.

“I have been to several meetings and after making a fool of myself I was still welcome by most, so they must be pretty loosy goosy as I have been voting Libertarian for 35 + years.”
