Welcome to the Philadelphia Glamour Photography Group. Our membership consists of the area's finest photographers, models, makeup artists, designers, and related artists. Our members are primarily located in five states (PA,NJ,NY,DE and MD), but also around the world, and they range from full time professionals to serious amateurs and even beginners. All of them share a passion and commitment to creating art, and the results are evident in the past shoots showcased in our site. Our uniquely created monthly and/or special events are designed to foster a creative, productive, and enjoyable experience for all involved. We have several professional studios to choose from for our photo shoots, along with hosting events at various outside locations.

Many of our photographers use state of the art digital equipment (both medium and full frame), while some still use the traditional film cameras. Some bring their own lighting and gear, while others use a basic approach. Our styles and techniques may vary, but we all have a love of photography and are willing to share our knowledge with others. All levels of photographers are welcome to join, as we do our best to learn from the pros, and to help get the beginners started on the right path.

Our models vary from professional to amateur, and cover a wide variety of genres, including fashion, print, glamour, and much more. Models attending our events can gain a near priceless selection of quality images for a fraction of what it would normally cost for them to book photographers individually. Our shoots can be either TF* (trade-for) or paid, so there are many opportunities for the proactive model. Online portfolios are complimented by the profile-presence in our group, as models are able to quickly network with photographers and related artists, and to get the inside scoop on events that help to promote their modeling careers.

Related artists that appreciate the world of glamour photography are encouraged to join the group, as there are many ways of interpreting the genre of glamour (for example, see this article on glamour photography http://www.photography.com/articles/types-of-photography/glamour-photography-history/). Designers, painters, stylists, event producers, are just a few of the related artists that are welcome to join and enhance the photography experience.

Knowledge and careers are advanced through proactive networking, and some shots take the input of many views to make it happen. With exceptional sponsors helping out with some of our events, participants will have many opportunities that would not normally be found in the average photography workshop.

Note, we do not micromanage your personal images. We only copyright what we originate (event titles, certain themes components, etc.); if you click the photo, you own the photo, as that has been the legal precedence since cameras were first invented and their end result first litigated. Event planning is really just a part of what we do, so the process of the event planning is something we protect and nurture. Regarding the photos you take, if it's digital content, it's uncontrolled after you release it to the world. We will help where possible with questions about who was involved in any event we sponsor, but the ultimate gatekeeper of the photographs generated is the photographer. Be aware of the terms of service for what and where you post or distribute your images. We always encourage the crediting of others where possible, such as makeup artist names, model names, event titles, etc., so that the creative vibe is maintained.

Feel free to make this your home. Interact, communicate, and attend the events as often as you can. Share your ideas, questions, and even concerns with us. You are among friends and we all strive to excel in our craft and help others along the way. Your life will change for the better through attending events with the PGPG (as well as Tri-State, Central PA, and other groups we are involved with), as the contacts you make will likely stay with you for a long time after. Thanks for being a part of the Philadelphia Glamour Photography Group!
