Join forces with fabulously philanthropic females to better our communities and the world! We are a dedicated group of diverse women who get together to volunteer and donate to nonprofits in the greater Portland metro area. We enjoy sharing our love for community service and giving back, while also socializing and having fun!
This is a group to meet other women in the area who want to make a difference in our community and the world. No in-depth knowledge of any one cause or special skills are required; only the desire to make a difference and to have fun while doing it. You’ll meet new friends, learn new skills, have a fun time, and you just might find a nonprofit that you want to give more of your time to. You’ll have the opportunity to volunteer for a range of organizations and causes, and participate during different times (days and evenings during the week, and weekends). Events are added to the calendar regularly.
Membership in this group is currently limited to women. Everyone brings a unique perspective and their own special traits to the group in a spirit of camaraderie and giving. We do not discriminate based on sexual orientation, religion, age, nationality, citizenship, marital status, parental status, income, race, ethnicity, or physical ability, and will not tolerate discrimination!
We encourage members to consider their RSVP to an event as a strong commitment that they will attend. Not only are you making a commitment to the organizer and fellow members, you are making a commitment to the nonprofit. To help you get started with our group, please see our FINE PRINT page (http://www.meetup.com/The-Portland-Volunteer-Vixens/pages/The_%22Fine_Print%22) that describes our policies/guidelines and provides more information about the Portland Volunteer Vixens, including details on membership, dues, our RSVP guidelines, etc.
The Portland Volunteer Vixens provide (wo)manpower to various local nonprofits, and throw much needed charity FUNdraising and donation drive events! From donation drives over happy hour, to tree planting followed by a trip to the spa, to socializing homeless animals followed by lunch, to overnight beach cleanups, our volunteer events combine social activity and rewarding philanthropic activities. Join us!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
